Environmental Commitment
At Scotts Plant & Haulage Ltd we are committed to keeping our environmental impact down to a minimum. We have a program in place to renew the older lorries in the fleet to newer more effcient ones and endeavour to plan our routes to minimise journeys. We work hard to ensure we comply with our duty of care obligations and where possible we dispose of our soils in restoration projects rather than landfill sites. We have close alliances with recycling facilities too so that any materials that can be recycled are reused rather than disposed of and very often we can collect recycled materials on return loads to minimise our impact on the environment. Pictures above and below are parts of a restored sand and gravel quarry that we worked with for nearly 15 years in the restoration project to return the land back to farm land and also providing a habitat for wildlife to thrive.
